The Real Reason We’ll Need Men In HEAL…


HEAL, it’s the hot new employment acronym that all the talking heads (eww…pundits) keep droning on about. This is usually done in the Chicken Little sense in terms of employment statistics. The DEI crowd (well, those who still remain) will chime about how representation matters when it comes to getting more men to enter HEAL. But there is a much more dire-and frankly, actual- reason to get more American men into these jobs.

But first, we’ll need to define what HEAL even stands for. By now, I’m sure that we’re all familiar with the acronym STEM (as previously discussed). HEAL is a similar acronym that stands for Healthcare, Education Administration and Literacy. Among other things, these are teachers, nurses, social workers, librarians, and other jobs in that vein.

Richard Reeves has written at length about the labor shortage in HEAL. He’s also written about the fact that there are seven million prime working age men in the United States that aren’t working, in school, or in military/volunteer service. Reeves passionately advocates for changing the way society markets HEAL jobs, and he is 100% right.

The labor shortage in these fields is certainly not new information at this point. Teachers have classrooms that are too large and teachers are leaving the profession. Nurses face perennial understaffing and social workers face immense caseloads. There is also the looming threat of an aging workforce. But that isn’t even the most immediate problem.

The most dire existential crisis facing these professions, you ask? Many of these fields have a strict code of conduct that excludes sex workers from entering the trade. I can hear the screeching of 10,000 pitchforks being sharpened already. As previously discussed, I don’t hold any malice against nakedly-capitalistic women. With that said, our current socio-political climate is an unforgiving one on the basis of conservative Christian values. Thus, FutureSense predicts that these codes of conduct will continue to be enforced.

“Why are you even talking about sex workers, Dan?” Simple really; because nearly 1.4 million GenZ women sell themselves on OnlyFans. This is roughly 10% of the population of women between 20-24 in this country. So young women, who tend to be the lion’s share of the demographic who enter these types of jobs as eager-eyed twenty-somethings, are going to be disqualified. Have fun paying back that $70,000 in student loans for that BSN, honey…

“Dan, you’re just exaggerating!” No, I’m not, not even in the slightest. One of the GOATs even discussed this phenomenon in an interview. And if you think that Ms. Olson is disconnected from reality; think again. “But they won’t fire me for doing it..” Sorry, that’s where you’re wrong, chica. They’re even firing female mechanics for doing OnlyFans now. So yeah ladies, assume you’ll be caught and assume you’ll be shit-canned for slinging your nudes..

Now, I can detect that I’m still going to get a ton of male resistance to this. After all, decades of marketing have clearly advertised nursing, teaching, case workers, and librarians as jobs for women, hence men are hesitant to enter them. But be warned, if the sidelined men won’t enter these jobs, then we’ll have to deal with some unpalatable alternatives.

One option is to simply do nothing as the female unemployment rate in these fields skyrockets as the fairer sex gets busted for selling nudes to simps. We all sit idly by as class sizes grow out-of-control. Thus teachers will inevitably resort to using pre-made multiple choice sheets to teach the material; standardized testing by another name. Enjoy waiting 8 hours in the emergency room or months on end to get your loved one into a nursing home or drug rehab clinic.

So, do nothing isn’t an acceptable option for many of you? Alright fine. Since nearly 1-in-10 potential recruits are ineligible and men won’t do the job, then we’ll have to import SluttySara’s replacement. That’s right, we’ll have to open our borders to more immigrants, specifically J-1 visas and EB-3 visas for nurses. Yeah, that’s right; you’ll just have to accept that more non-whites will need to enter America simply because unemployed American men won’t pick up a textbook…

“Well Dan, we could you know, just pay these females a bit more. That way, they won’t have to resort to becoming literal porn stars in order to make ends meet.” Only one problem with that; many of these jobs are funded by taxpayer dollars. Hence, this argument inherently relies on either raising taxes (good luck with that…) or taking tax dollars away from other public services. Don’t worry, the single-payer firefighters will eventually get to your burning house….

“Well smarty-pants Dan, what about automation and technology? That can fill the gap, right?” Well, yes-and-no. Will a disembodied AI voice be able to dispense information about the Civil War in history class? Sure. But can the AI get a classroom full of rambunctious youths to sit down and shut up? Probably not. Do you trust a blood pressure machine to take fairly-accurate readings? Sure. Do you trust a clunky robot to stick an IV needle in your arm? I wouldn’t; the technology isn’t there yet. My grander point is that HEAL jobs still require a human presence. We cannot Terminator our way out of the problem.  

So guys, pick one; long waits, Brown people, or studying…
