When Charlie Kirk was first murdered, someone close to me likened the right-wing influencer to that of MLK. On the surface, there’s a lot that makes sense with this comparison. Both Dr. King and Kirk were both charismatic, sharp, nonviolent men who sought to heal a nation through discourse. Sadly, both men were tragically cut down in their primes via an assassin’s bullet; a trigger pulled by an avid hater of what the two men represented.
However many in my inner circle disagreed, speculating that it was a fellow right-winger who pulled the trigger that ended Kirk’s life. Now evidence of that is scant and actually points in the opposite direction. With that said, there is a chance (not a large one, mind you) that the majority of my inner circle might be correct. Thus, the MLK comparison wouldn’t work. Rather than White MLK, that would make Charlie Kirk the Malcom X of White Conservatives.
Sharpen your pitchforks all you’d like, but there’s more to the Malcom X comparison than most Karen’s want to admit. Luckily, I’m here to speak the uncomfortable truths that nobody else wants to. Personally, I’m still under the impression that Kirk was gunned down by a violently bloodthirsty leftist, thus making the MLK comparison stick. However, I need to acknowledge the possibility that the majority of my blue canaries might be correct in their heavily-biased analysis. Thus, I’m going to advocate for a position that I do not hold.
Kirk and Muhammad Ali’s recruiter had a key trait in common; their shared distrust of the Northern White Liberal. That’s right Karen; be as woke as you want, but Malcolm X was never on your side. While I admit that many Northern White Liberals weren’t actively celebrating the Muslim’s murder in the way they did Kirk’s, they weren’t exactly offering thoughts and prayers either.
Several years ago, Netflix ran a documentary series regarding Who Killed Malcom X. TL/DR: it was other Black Muslims that did it (there, I saved you six hours; you’re welcome!). But one must ask; Why? Malcom X was so charismatic and magnetic that he was starting to upstage the establishment of the Black Islamic movement in America. Elijah Muhammad, the leader of the Nation of Islam at the time, disliked the growing influence that Malcom X had. Hence, Muhammad ordered the hit because of it.
“But Dan, what does this have to do with Charlie Kirk?” Well Karen, like Malcom Little (bonus points if you saw what I did there), Kirk was also a highly charismatic figure who served as a magnet into his ideology. While many on the Right endorsed Kirk, not all of them did. Enter Nick Fuentes; the leader of the Groyper movement who had long running tensions with Kirk.
The comparison of Malcolm X to Kirk has another layer that makes this work. Much like Elijah Muhammad and Malcom X, Nick Fuentes had every reason to want Kirk out of the picture. But beyond motives and clear incentives with their ideological movement, there lies personality similarities between the Groyper God and Elijah Muhammad; they’re both racist antisemites.

Kinda suspicious that Fuentes only started popping off AFTER Kirk died…
To anybody paying attention to Nick Fuentes’ recent rise to relative internet fame, that last sentence should not be too much of a surprise. However, I imagine that our Kankle-Klad Karen (heehee, see what I did there?) is going to stomp her expensive Gucci heels in anger about my critique of Elijah Muhammad. Get as mad as you want, sweetie; the dude was pretty racist, not to mention antisemitic as fuck. So yeah, Nick Fuentes and Elijah Muhammad have a lot in common.
The topic of support for Israel has started to rip the Conservatives apart. There are many Israel simps such as Ted Cruz who were clearly all on the dole of AIPAC. However, there are other voices on the right such as Alex Jones, Nick Fuentes, Myron Gaines, and Tucker Carlson who do not support Israel. Kirk was in the former, thus annoying the latter. However, unlike Ted Cruz and the other disgusting neocons, people actually listened to Charlie Kirk. For Fuentes and the rest of the America First/America Only crowd, that was a serious fucking problem.
While this is speculation on my part, it’s clear that Fuentes had every motive to order the killing of Kirk. In The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene, one of the laws was Never Outshine the Master. Malcom X disobeyed that law and paid for it with his life. Given the stratospheric heights that Kirk had experienced on the Right, it’s clear that Nick Fuentes had been outshined. The blow to Fuentes’ noticeably fragile ego, combined with their ideological break on the topic of Israel, would’ve clearly led to Fuentes dispatching an armed Groyper to Utah on that fateful September. All purely speculative on my end, of course (#disclaimer).
If the Blues can speculate, then so can I..
